3D RealityMaps GmbH has carried out high resolution aerial photo surveys using digital cameras from Microsoft UltraCam and Zeiss DMC in Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. For specific exercises the special stereo cameras from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) are used to acquire high-accuracy 3D terrain models and ortho-rectified aerial imagery (true orthos).

• Spatial resolution down to 5 cm

• Natural colors and increased color saturation

• Horizontal accuracy with an RMS-error of +/- 10 cm (accuracy of the ortho image)

• Vertical accuracy with an RMS-error of +/- 25 cm (accuracy of the terrain model)

• Terrain model contains up to 100 measurement points per 2 m
